Outside Solar Sales Representative (Full Time)

We are a leading solar company that provides high-quality solar products and systems to residential and commercial customers. We are looking for an outside solar sales representative to join our team and help us grow our business in your area.

As an outside solar sales representative, your main responsibility is to sell solar-powered equipment and systems to customers in your assigned territory. You will find new leads and generate new accounts by meeting with customers in person and identifying their needs and interests. You will also demonstrate the features and advantages of our solar products and systems and offer them customized solar solutions. You will prepare quotes, contracts, and designs for solar installations and provide after-sales service and support to ensure customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will follow up on sales leads and referrals from other sources and maintain existing accounts and build long-term relationships with customers.

As an outside solar sales representative, you will be responsible for:

- Finding new leads and generating new accounts.
- Meeting with customers in person to identify their needs and offer them customized solar solutions.
- Demonstrating the features and advantages of solar products and systems.
- Preparing quotes, contracts, and designs for solar installations.
- Providing after-sales service and support to customers.
- Following up on sales leads and referrals from other sources.
- Maintaining existing accounts and building long-term relationships with customers.

To be successful in this role, you need to have:

- A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, economics, communications, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the solar industry.
- Proficiency in solar energy systems, including solar panels, inverters, racking, and installation.
- Knowledge of local regulatory policies and incentives for solar energy.
- Knowledge of the solar energy market and the competitive landscape.
- A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel frequently and work independently.
